We offer Child Car Seat Fitting service. It’s also called Child Restraint Installation. Basically, if you have an Australia approved child car seat or capsule, we can install it for you. You can bring your own or buy a new seat from us.
We offer Child Car Seat Fitting at our site only. It’s the only way we can service a higher number of customers. This service is available between 10am to 3.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday. Each installation takes about 15-20 minutes. We are very experienced in installation either 1, 2 or 3 seats across the back row. For installation of 2 or 3 seats, we recommend you come on a weekday as it get quite busy on Saturdays. We do not take time bookings, so first in first service.
If your bring in your own seat, our staff will perform safety check prior to installation. We will check whether it’s meet Australian Standards, if the age of the seat is over 10 years old, check for visible signs of damage and check if the harness works correct especially when customers bring in a seat that has the fabric washed.
We highly recommend customers have some sort of protection for their vehicles seat. If you have leather seats, the indents left from the prolong pressure of the child car seat will be very visible and may affect the re-sale value of your vehicle. You can use a thick beach towel under the child seat, but it doesn’t cost that much for a proper child seat protector.
As we are also a retailer of child car seats, we know the latest seats models and latest fitting methods. We get regular visits from the the major car seat brands informing us of the latest release and new fitting methods. Did you know new models released are now moving away from ISOFIX?
